The ICF system (Insulated Concrete Forms) is similar to the EIFS system except that the foam is already on the building. The foam is part of the hollow forms that are used by the contractor. The hollow forms, into which concrete is poured, come with the foam already attached, and ready for finishing.

 

The ICF system is most commonly found in the construction of residential homes, although it does have commercial applications as well, especially for below grade footings.
